BRAND: Kbc helmets combine
stunning graphics with the latest technological developments. Kbc helmets
products are precision engineered to deliver supreme comfort, outstanding
fit and unrivaled performance. Attention to detail and an intensive
development program ensure that all Kbc helmet products meet and exceed the
incredibly strict American SNELL standard. Be sure to consider the Kbc Tour
Com helmet which is designed to fit the Tour Com communications system.
SELECTION: Kbc helmets offer a wide range of helmet designs; there is
an option for just about every rider. The Kbc Ffr modular helmet is one of
the best in the industry with great graphic designs available and a solid
latch mechanism. The shape of the Kbc Ffr is particularly aggressive
compared to most other brands. The Vr 2 and Vr 3 are Kbc helmet's standard
mid range model while the Kbc Force Rr offers an aggressive top vent
ventilation system. The Force S, Tk 8 and Tk 77 round out Kbc's full face
offering with conservative styling and graphics. One of the best selling Kbc
helmet is the Tour Com which is specifically designed around the J and M
communications headset.
FIT: All Kbc helmets fit very comfortable with a true street fit.
They do not fit snug but their aggressive aerodynamics make up for the
looser fit by splitting the wind stream. This makes the Kbc a good highway
speed helmet.
PERFORMANCE: The Kbc helmet is a mid-range helmet offering average
street performance. Although most models are both DOT and SNELL approved, it
is not a track helmet. We recommend a higher performance helmet for track
use or if you like to redline on the highways. We have 'road tested' a few
full face Kbc helmets and they hold up fine under slower speed crashes.
RETURN RATE: We get an average return rate for Kbc helmets with
almost all returns for sizing. We have never had a Kbc returned to us for
warranty replacement or because a customer was not satisfied with Kbc
quality. If your expectation is that you are purchasing a mid range helmet
then you will be happy with a Kbc helmet.
OUR
RECOMMENDATION: We recommend Kbc helmets if you want a general
purpose street helmet and you are not a high risk rider. We do not recommend
a Kbc for track or high speed street use - the construction of the padding
and the aerodynamics are just not adequate for high speed riding or high
impact accidents. |
